Sunday Outing

Yesterday Kevin (www.kphotographs.com) and I went looking for some images. It rained/snowed most of the time, so not much in the way of photos. Although it wasn’t the most productive outing, it’s always nice to get out with the camera!

Benjamin’s First Basketball Game

My son played in his first game yesterday and he loved it. He’s been watching the Caveman play on Friday nights and is definitely starting to get the idea of the game. Here is a shot of Benjamin trying to steal the ball from an opponent.

From Sams Valley

I was looking back through some photos and found this gem I missed when I fist edited my shots from Sams Valley. I find that I usually have several favorite shots from a trip that I edit right away. I usually need to let the rest of the photos sit for awhile. When I come back to take a look, I often find other images that I didn’t catch the first time through. This is one such image:

B&W

I find myself printing more and more black & white images. Color images just don’t hold my attention like black & white prints do. Here is a shot I recently converted to black & white. I originally printed this image in color, but I always felt it was missing something. As a black & white print I find it much more appealing.

First Photo Shoot of 2008

Last week I did my first photo session of 2008. I was extremely excited that Jamie hired me to do her senior pictures. We decided the weather was a little much for outside shots, so I packed up my portable studio and we captured images in her living room (Mom even held a reflector – thanks!) Jamie is going to pick one of these shots for the yearbook, and then we will do an outside shoot in the spring that she can use for her graduation invitations. I had a great time and look forward to our outdoor session. Here is my favorite shot of the evening:
